About the Dell Latitude CPt C

Introduced 1999

Dell introduced the CPt name in 1999 for Latitude models fitted with Intel's lower-cost mobile Celeron instead of the Pentium II, and the Dell Latitude CPt C was the first of them, in versions such as the C333GT and C400GT. The figures are the processor speed in megahertz and the GT suffix indicates a 14.1-inch XGA screen under Dell's coding of the period.

Apart from the processor it was essentially the corporate CPi, with the same chassis, modular media bay and docking options, and it was aimed at organisations that wanted the Latitude platform at a lower price. Later CPt V and CPt S versions raised the Celeron speed. Expect an expired battery and a tired hard drive on any example today.
