Do I need to book?
No. Both branches take walk-ins Monday to Saturday, 9am to 6pm. Booking ahead means we can check parts are in stock for your model.
How long does a repair take?
Many repairs, like keyboards, hinges, drives and virus removal, are done the same day, and some while you wait. If we need to order a part for your model, we give you a date when you drop off.
How much will it cost?
See our price list for starting prices, or search for your model. We check the laptop and confirm the exact price before any work starts.
Do you send laptops away to be repaired?
No. Every repair is done in our own London workshops by our own technicians.
Will I lose my files?
Most repairs don't touch your files. If a repair could affect your data, like a drive replacement or reinstall, we tell you first and can back it up.
Do I need to give you my password?
Only if we need to test your laptop after the repair. You can create a temporary account instead, or be there when we test it.
Do you repair Macs?
Yes. We repair MacBook, MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, iBook and PowerBook laptops, and iMac and Mac desktops. See Mac repair.
I spilled something on my laptop. What should I do?
Switch it off straight away, unplug it and don't try to charge it or turn it back on. Bring it in as soon as possible, because corrosion gets worse the longer it sits.
My drive is clicking. Can you recover my files?
Often, yes. Switch it off and don't keep trying it, because each attempt can cause more damage. See data recovery.
Do your repairs come with a warranty?
Yes, all repairs come with a 3-month warranty on parts and labour.
What if my laptop isn't worth repairing?
We'll tell you honestly. We can also move your files to a new laptop and set it up for you.
