Background

About the Dell Inspiron B130

Sold 2005–2006

Released alongside the B120 in late 2005, the Dell Inspiron B130 was the 15.4-inch member of Dell's entry-level B-series. The specification was deliberately simple: a Celeron M or Pentium M processor, Intel GMA 900 graphics sharing system memory, a WXGA widescreen and a 40 or 60 GB hard drive.

It replaced the Inspiron 2200 at the bottom of the range and competed on price rather than features, selling to home users who wanted a large screen for everyday tasks. Its design is related to the Latitude 120L sold to businesses. Surviving units are slow by current standards and commonly need a replacement battery or hard drive.
