Background

About the Sony VAIO VGN BZ

Sold 2008–2010

Introduced in 2008 on Intel's Centrino 2 platform, the Sony VAIO VGN BZ was a 15.4-inch business notebook that took over from the BX. It used Core 2 Duo processors with Intel integrated graphics, and it had a magnesium alloy casing, hard drive shock protection, a fingerprint reader and a TPM chip.

It was sold to companies and professional users who wanted a VAIO with a docking connector and business editions of Windows, and it stayed on sale until the VPC B1 arrived in 2010. Wear typically shows first in the battery and the hard drive.
