Background

About the Apple MacBook Pro 15" MB134

Introduced 2008

The Apple MacBook Pro 15" MB134 is the 2.5 GHz Penryn Core 2 Duo model from the Early 2008 range, the higher of the two standard 15-inch configurations sold from February to October 2008. Its GeForce 8600M GT graphics have 512 MB of video memory, twice that of the 2.4 GHz MB133, and a 2.6 GHz processor could be ordered as an upgrade.

It carries the model number A1260 and keeps the pre-unibody aluminium body, LED-backlit 1440 by 900 screen and ExpressCard/34 slot, while adding trackpad gestures such as pinch and rotate. As with other 2007–2008 MacBook Pros, failure of the NVIDIA graphics chip is the most widely reported hardware fault, alongside the usual battery and hard drive wear.
