Background

About the Apple MacBook Pro 15" MA464

Introduced 2006

The Apple MacBook Pro 15" MA464 is the 2.0 GHz Core Duo configuration of the original 15-inch MacBook Pro, sold from 14 February to 16 May 2006. It was the better-equipped of the two standard models at launch, with a 100 GB hard drive and 256 MB of video memory for its ATI Mobility Radeon X1600 graphics, against 80 GB and 128 MB on the 1.83 GHz machine.

In May 2006 Apple reshuffled the range and a cheaper 2.0 GHz configuration, order number MA600, took its place. Like every first-generation model it has the A1150 case, a matte 1440 by 900 display, MagSafe and a built-in iSight camera, and it omits the FireWire 800 port of the PowerBook it replaced.
