Background

About the Dell Latitude E4310

Sold 2010–2011

In 2010 the Dell Latitude E4310 succeeded the E4300 as Dell's 13.3-inch business ultraportable. The chassis and E-Port docking were carried over, but the processor platform changed from Core 2 Duo to the first generation of Intel Core i3, i5 and i7 chips, bringing a clear gain in speed and integrated graphics that share the processor package.

It belongs to the same generation as the E6410 and E6510 and was the lightest of that group, aimed at staff who travelled frequently. Its successors, the E6220 and E6320 of 2011, were renumbered into the E6xxx line, so the E4310 was the last of the E4xxx models. Age-related battery and hard drive wear are the main things to expect.
