About the Dell Inspiron Mini 1010

Sold 2009–2010

Dell Inspiron Mini 1010 is the model number of the original Inspiron Mini 10, a 10.1-inch netbook, which began shipping in February 2009. It ran on Intel's Atom Z520 or Z530, processors designed for handheld devices, and stood out among netbooks for its HDMI output and an optional 1366 x 768 screen in place of the usual 1024 x 600.

Storage was a 160GB hard drive or a small solid-state drive. The Z-series Atom depends on Intel GMA 500 graphics, which had limited driver support, so the machine is restricted in the operating systems it runs well. Performance was modest even when new, and original batteries are now long past their best.
