Background

About the Dell Inspiron Mini 1011

Sold 2009–2010

Better known as the Inspiron Mini 10v, the Dell Inspiron Mini 1011 was the cheaper of Dell's two 10.1-inch netbooks in 2009, introduced to fill the gap left when the Mini 9 was withdrawn. It used the common Intel Atom N270, with an N280 offered briefly, and shared most of its internals with the Mini 9.

Compared with the Mini 1010 it had a VGA connector instead of HDMI and a 1024 x 600 display only, with a 160GB hard drive or a 16GB solid-state drive. The conventional Atom platform made it easier to live with than its Z-series sibling. Today its limits are a slow single-core processor, little memory and aged batteries.
