About the Dell Inspiron N4030

Sold 2010–2011

The Dell Inspiron N4030 is a 14-inch entry-level laptop from 2010, part of the plain Inspiron 14 line that sat beneath the Inspiron 14R. It shares its chassis with the N4020 but is built on a newer Intel platform, with first-generation Core i3 or contemporary Pentium processors and Intel HD integrated graphics.

It offered buyers a current processor in a no-frills case and was sold mainly on price. There is no dedicated graphics option, so it suits office work and browsing. With age, the usual issues are a battery that no longer holds charge, a failing mechanical hard drive and a fan clogged with dust.
