Background

About the Apple PowerBook G3 13" M6482

Introduced 1998

Apple PowerBook G3 13" M6482 appears to be one of the order codes for the 13.3-inch PowerBook G3 Series of 1998, sitting next to the documented 13.3-inch code M6481. Its exact processor and drive configuration is not recorded in the usual reference sources.

The 13.3-inch screen was available solely on the first Wallstreet generation, between May and September 1998, with 233, 250 or 292 MHz PowerPC G3 processors. All versions have a 1024 by 768 active-matrix panel and 4 MB of video memory. The size was withdrawn after a few months, partly because of display cable failures at the hinge. Expansion bay modules are shared with the 14.1-inch machines.
