Background

About the Apple PowerBook G3 13" m6357

Introduced 1998

M6357 is the order number of the 250 MHz PowerBook G3 Series with a 13.3-inch display, part of the Wallstreet range sold from 6 May to 1 September 1998. It was the mid-range model: a PowerPC 750 with a 1 MB backside cache on an 83 MHz system bus, 4 MB of video memory, a 4 GB hard drive and a 1024 by 768 active-matrix screen.

That made it considerably faster than the cacheless 233 MHz entry machine. The 13.3-inch panel was its weakness, since the display cable tended to fail at the hinge, and Apple did not carry the size over to the revised range that autumn. The Apple PowerBook G3 13" m6357 has two expansion bays that accept batteries, a CD-ROM or a floppy drive.
