About the Dell Studio 1536

Sold 2008–2009

Among the first Studio 15 laptops of 2008, Dell Studio 1536 was the AMD-powered option. It shared its 15.4-inch body, slot-loading optical drive and touch-sensitive media strip with the Intel-based 1535, but was built around AMD Turion X2 processors with DDR2 memory, and could be ordered with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3450 graphics.

Dell generally priced its AMD configurations a little below the Intel ones, so the 1536 served as a lower-cost route into the Studio range for home users. The redesigned Studio 15 models that followed from 2009 were Intel-based. The touch-control fault reported on the 1535 and 1537 was also reported on this model.
