About the Dell Latitude 131L

Sold 2006–2007

The Dell Latitude 131L, introduced in late 2006, was notable as the first Latitude to use AMD processors. It was a low-cost 15.4-inch widescreen laptop built around AMD Sempron and Turion 64 chips with ATI integrated graphics, and it was the business-badged sibling of the consumer Inspiron 1501.

Like the 110L and 120L before it, it belonged to the value L line and did not share the docking system or modular bay of the D-series Latitudes. It was the last of the L models before Dell moved its budget business offering to the Vostro brand in 2007. Battery wear, hard drive failure and heat build-up from dust are the usual problems now.
