About the Dell Inspiron N7010

Sold 2010–2011

The Dell Inspiron N7010 was sold as the Inspiron 17R and was the largest of the 2010 R-series trio, above the 14R (N4010) and 15R (N5010). It had a 17.3-inch widescreen display, first-generation Intel Core i3 and i5 processors and, depending on configuration, Intel integrated or ATI Mobility Radeon graphics, plus a full-width keyboard with number pad.

It was a desktop replacement for the home, bought for its screen size at a moderate price, and it was replaced in 2011 by the Sandy Bridge-based N7110. It is heavy to carry daily. Typical problems now are the battery, the mechanical hard drive, dust-choked cooling and wear at the hinges.
