About the Apple PowerBook G3 14" M7304

Sold 1999–2000

M7304 is the 333 MHz version of the PowerBook G3 with Bronze Keyboard, codenamed Lombard, sold from 10 May 1999 to 16 February 2000. It was the lower of two models and came with a 512 KB cache, a 4 GB hard drive and a CD-ROM drive.

Lombard was a substantial redesign of the Wallstreet: thinner and lighter, with a translucent bronze keyboard, and the first PowerBook with USB ports and Apple's New World ROM architecture. It had no FireWire, which arrived with its successor in 2000. The 14.1-inch, 1024 by 768 display is driven by 8 MB of video memory. On an Apple PowerBook G3 14" M7304 today, the battery and hard drive are the parts most likely to have failed with age.
