Background

About the IBM ThinkPad Edge E10

Introduced c. 2010

IBM ThinkPad Edge E10 is one of the E-number names used within Lenovo's ThinkPad Edge family, the entry-level ThinkPad line launched in 2010. ThinkWiki records an E10 beside the E30, E40 and E50 in the first Edge generation, but no detailed specification for it has been published there, so only range-level facts can be given with confidence. It is in any case a Lenovo machine: IBM had left the PC business five years earlier.

First-generation Edge laptops were built for small businesses and schools and were priced below the T and L series. They share an island-style keyboard with both TrackPoint and touchpad, used Intel or AMD processors of the 2010 period, and were sold in sizes from 11.6 to 15.6 inches.
