Background

About the Dell Vostro 2510

Sold 2008–2009

Dell Vostro 2510 was a 15.4-inch laptop added to the Vostro range in 2008 as a slimmer and more stylish alternative to the Vostro 1510. It was aimed at small-business owners who wanted something better finished than the standard model without paying Latitude prices, and its number set it apart from the 1000-series models sold beside it.

It used Intel Core 2 Duo processors and was offered with NVIDIA GeForce 8M-series graphics. Graphics chips of that family are associated with the high failure rates NVIDIA acknowledged in 2008, so display faults should be treated with that in mind. Batteries and hard drives of this age are generally worn out.
