About the Dell Latitude C600

Sold 2000–2001

The Dell Latitude C600, launched in 2000, was the core model of the new C family and Dell's standard corporate laptop of the day. It used mobile Pentium III processors with a 14.1-inch display, and its consumer equivalent was the Inspiron 4000.

It set the template that the C610 and C640 followed: a mid-size case with a modular bay able to take an optical drive, a floppy drive, a second hard disk or an extra battery, and a docking connector shared across the family. It was valued for durability. It was replaced by the C610 in 2001. Expect worn batteries, tired backlights and ageing drives.
