Background

About the Sony VAIO VGC LN Series

Sold 2008–2009

Introduced in 2008, the Sony VAIO VGC LN Series was a 20.1-inch all-in-one desktop positioned between the entry-level JS and the 24-inch LV. It continued the design of the LM, with the screen framed in clear plastic and the computer contained in the body behind it.

Notebook-class Intel Core 2 Duo processors were used, and equipment typically included a webcam, wireless networking and, on many versions, a TV tuner. The series was sold into 2009, when Sony's all-in-ones moved to the VPC prefix. It is a desktop in name but is dismantled more like a notebook.
