Background

About the Apple PowerBook G4 17" M9110

Sold 2003–2004

The Apple PowerBook G4 17" M9110 is the second version of the 17-inch PowerBook, with a 1.33 GHz PowerPC 7447 processor. It was introduced on 16 September 2003, the day the aluminium 15-inch model appeared, and sold until 19 April 2004.

It is broadly similar to the first 17-inch, and the differences are internal: a faster processor with twice the on-chip cache, ATI Mobility Radeon 9600 graphics in place of the NVIDIA chip, an 80 GB hard drive and USB 2.0 ports. The 1440 by 900 display, SuperDrive and FireWire 800 port carried over. Its model number is A1052. At more than twenty years old, battery, hard drive and optical drive wear are the expected issues.
