Background

About the Apple MacBook Air 13.3" MB940LL

Sold 2008–2009

In the Late 2008 MacBook Air range, MB940LL was the premium configuration: a 1.86 GHz Core 2 Duo paired with a 128 GB solid-state drive, at a time when such drives were still uncommon in laptops. It shares the GeForce 9400M graphics, 2 GB of DDR3 memory, Mini DisplayPort and single USB port of the cheaper hard drive model, and the same 13.3-inch 1280 by 800 LED-backlit screen.

The Apple MacBook Air 13.3" MB940LL was sold from October 2008 until June 2009 and carries model number A1304. Its solid-state drive avoids the mechanical wear that affects the 1.8-inch hard drives in other early Airs, although the built-in battery will be long past its best.
