If the drive is failing, switch it off now. Every restart of a damaged drive can destroy more data. Don't run recovery software on it or keep trying it.

- More than one drive has failed
- A rebuild stopped part way through
- The RAID controller or server has failed
- The volume will not mount after a power cut
- Drives were removed or put back in the wrong order
How RAID recovery works
A RAID array spreads your data across several drives, so recovering it means repairing any failed drives and then rebuilding the array exactly as it was set up. We image every drive first, so your original drives are never worked on directly, then reconstruct the array from the copies.
The price depends on the RAID level and how many drives need repairing and rebuilding.

Before you bring it in
Do not start a rebuild, initialise the array or replace more drives. Label each drive with its bay position if you remove them, and bring all the drives, including any that you think still work.

Questions
Should I try a rebuild?
Not if more than one drive has problems or a rebuild has already failed. A rebuild on a failing array can overwrite the data you need. Switch it off and contact us.
Do you need the RAID controller?
Usually not. We rebuild the array from images of the drives. If you still have it, bring the controller or server details anyway.
Can you recover a business server?
